The process begins with an obligation-free face-to-face meeting during which I can learn more about your project goals, budget, and timeline.

Upon deciding to work with SO Design Collective, we will sign a detailed Design Agreement that specifies the scope of work, fee schedule, and other important information.

We will arrange a time for me to visit the site, take measurements, and assess the specific features of the space/home. I’ll document the existing conditions, floor plans, and elevations (when appropriate) and use this information to inform my design drawings.

Next, I will work on conceptual design plans for your project, which I’ll share with you for feedback at an in-person review meeting. We will fully navigate the concept for your space using 3D software.

Based upon your feedback, I will revise and develop the design plan and present it for your final approval. We’ll have one final meeting to make sure everything is in order before I generate and deliver final design documents.

After the design is approved, I will generate final documents to be shared with the project’s builder and other contractors, and to be used for permit filing. Should you need assistance finding professionals to work with, I’m happy to make introductions to trusted professional colleagues.
